Plastic Dip Questions Empty Plastic Dip Questions

Post by doeboy Mon Nov 18, 2013 5:37 am

I am looking to plastic dip my front grill. I would like to leave the chrome around the edges and the chrome of the Hyundai logo, but plastic dip the rest of the grill. How hard is it to remove the front grille and also how hard is it to peel off the plastic dip if I don't like it?

I have not taken off my grill yet, but that said the plastidip comes off easier as long as you put a thicker coat on it (3 or 4 layers). If not, just use a toothbrush to get the bit's n pieces if you do take it off....I did the grill on my 2007 Jeep JK and it was easy and is really durable....definitely thinking about doing it to the Sante Fe

Thanks. Another reason why I want to do it is because It should help with the dents and dings better from the road. My Sonata's grill was pretty chewed up looking after I washed it. Maybe the plastic dip can save it a little better than leaving it bare.

Sounds good. Maybe this will become a project of mine in the Spring time.

That or if you still want the protection with a little bit more class you could wrap the grill. Just a thought
